To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest in Paradise. To God be the glory for the things He has done. Heaven doors have opened up to receive another faithful servant.

Uncle Frank. The memory of you comes to me quite often. I remember you and Auntie showing up for my college graduation. I was dating your niece-in-law at the time. I thought to myself... "These people barely know me, and they drove here just to support me?" That day, you became special in my book. The actions and selfless behavior I saw from you that day and over the year were too many to count. However, let me tell you all what really solidified Uncle Frank in my spirit forever.... I was going through an extremely difficult transition. I guess he could sense something was wrong, but today of all days was not the day he should have been focused on me. It was the day of his wife's funeral. Do you know this strong, sturdy Giant watch his only life partner go into the ground forever....and was still concerned about what was going on with me? My little problems seemed like a drop in the bucket, compared to what he was witnessing. This man right here just laid eyes on his wife for the last time. That gives you a snippet of just how much this man touched the lives of others around him. I am not related to Uncle Frank in any way, but that day.... and every day after that, I was his family, and he was mine. Uncle Frank kept in touch with me after that and I kept in touch with him. We supported one another just by a simple phone call. LOL, each time I would call him, he would say...."Rodney Bee, hold on let me write your number down." I would laugh it off because I knew he would lose the number and I's end up calling him back and hearing the same thing again on the next call. One thing I learned from him was to never let anyone leave your house emptied handed. Anytime I would visit, I would always leave with something from him, whether it was old clothes... or a jar of pickled hot sauce. Whatever he gave me, I held on to it, because HE gave it to me. Even when I went to visit him for the last time, I left his house with something. He wasn't even there or aware I was at his home, but I still didn’t leave empty handed. My guy, Uncle Frank, will live on in my memories forever. What a special soul. He will never be forgotten. Just as I have, my children WILL ALWAYS know him as their Uncle Frank.

I miss you Uncle Frank. I’ve got a big day coming up tomorrow and you came to my mind. I remember watching you. Your stature. The way you spoke. The way you held your head high. Your confidence. Your compassion for others…. I hope to be an example like you still are for me. My daughter will know who you are. Love you Uncle Frank.
